Land Rover 90SV For Sale

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to sell our 90SV - No 79. X-Eng needs a vehicle we can use to develop and demonstrate new products. We feel that it's almost sacrilegious and certainly a waste to modify an SV in that way so we feel that due to pressures of space we need to part with it.
The SV's were used as a basis for the design of the later NAS90's. They were the first Defender to have Disk brakes all round and have no mid bulkhead. They were all fitted with Mohair soft tops and cages made by Safety Devices. Despite this, they still qualify as a commercial vehicle.

This 90SV was one of the last few off the production line and remains a beautiful example of possibly the rarest and most unique Land Rover 90 made. Land Rover only made 90 SV's and this was the 79th which rolled off the line on September 9th 1993.
It has genuinely never been off-road. Apart from a few necessary add-ons such as the cat 1 alarm (with remote central locking), MSS Store Draw in the rear and a better radio (with auto-changer) in a 'Tuffy' Cubby box, it is as standard. The soft top was refurbished last year with new windows, fixings and an improvement to the rear window flap fixings.

The SV was bought with full service history and this was continued by D&P Autos in Upper Beading. The owner of which, "Diesel Dave" has an outstanding reputation.
The truck is in exceptionally good condition. Apart from a few odd blemishes, the paintwork is good. The Bulkhead is in good condition and the truck is mechanically sound. It is fitted with a low mileage set of BFG All Terrains on the original 5 spoke Alloys. It has driven 163,267 miles but because it has been well looked after, it runs beautifully.

I've never quite figured out why, but SV's handle on the road better than any Land Rover deserves to. They feel very sure footed cornering and are surprisingly good tow vehicles. The combination of weight distribution and suspension work perfectly together.
It has Tax and MOT until Jan 2009 and being pre 2001, it is unaffected by the recent tax hikes. We welcome viewing and vehicle / hpi checks. Give us a ring or email to arrange.
