It
is almost impossible outside the professional recovery market to
buy jump leads heavy enough for use on a Land Rover where the starter
motor alone can draw several hundred amps.
We have built a similar system to that used on commercial recovery
trucks - but at a fraction of the cost.
A
high power socket is permanently wired to the battery and attached
to the vehicle in a convenient place such as the seat box or wing.
A pair of jump leads can then quickly and easily be plugged directly
in to this socket when required.
We
have used the highest quality, ultra-flex(tm) 35mm welding cable.
This
is enough to cold crank a Tdi engine as soon as the leads are
connected without waiting for the vehicle battery to charge up
a bit (like with most weedy jump leads).
They
can directly supply enough current to operate a winch on a stricken
vehicle with a non running engine or dead alternator to recover
it to a safe location for repairs or to pick up power for your
vehicle from smoeone else.
Once you have used these, we guarantee you will never want to
go back to the normal rubbish you can buy in the shops!
They
are rated for use on both 12v and 24v vehicles.
