| The
two photographs above were taken on the same camera with the
same settings. The one on the left with Main Beam only and the
one on the right with 4 x X-Lites (2 x Flood & 2 x Spot)
+ Main Beam. You can see how much whiter the light is with more
of the light output in the visible spectrum giving higher efficiency
and better colour rendering. |

- CNC
Billet Machined Aluminium Housing.
- Hardened
Black Anodized corrosion resistant coating.
- Built
in lens hood to prevent light hitting bonnet and to protect
bulb from impacts.
- Clamp
directly to roll cage using off the shelf stainless clip.
- The
most effective and robust overhead lights available.
- Super
efficiency low power bulbs put less strain on your wiring
/ battery.
- Ultra
Low Profile 60mm diameter face.

Lights
mounted above your head while driving illuminate more than
you can see over the crest of hills and into potholes enhancing
off road driving safety.
Traditionally designed overhead lights have a number of problems:

X-Eng
X-Lites
|
| The
aim of the lights is changed by wind resistance and impacts
with branches |
X-Lites
are very low profile, protruding as little as 10mm above
your cage. The light casings are exceptionally strong
and the lights are fully re-buildable using mostly off-the-shelf
parts. |
| Overhead
lights are often damaged by overhanging branches. |
| Larger
face lights increases aerodynamic drag using more fuel. |
| The
light shines on the bonnet and wings diminishing your
night vision and reducing the effectiveness of the lights. |
X-Lites
incorporate a 23mm 'hood' which stops light from shining
on the bonnet & wings. |
| Difficult
to fit to a roll cage without welding on brackets. |
X-Lites
attach to your roll cage with an off the shelf, adjustable,
stainless steel hose clip. Should you break one, you can
pick up a replacement from any hardware store for a few
pence. |
| Bulbs
are expensive and reflectors or front glass lenses are
impossible to replace. Some lights use polycarbonate lenses
& reflectors which are very tough, but quickly become
scratched. |
Bulb
and reflector are a single 'sealed' unit. When you change
a bulb, you replace the glass lens and reflector at the
same time. Yet, you can pick up a replacement bulb from
a hardware store for as little as £1.00. |
X-Lites
are only 60mm diameter and yet deliver more intense light
in the visual spectrum than the majority of commercial driving
lights. The bulbs are only 50w and yet will outshine most
100w and even 150w halogen lights.
How is this possible? The light is high temperature with most
of it's energy in the middle to top of your visual range where
your eyes are most sensitive. Most lights are biased toward
the red end of the spectrum and waste a lot of the light energy
as heat and infrared.
More efficient, lower power lights mean less strain on your
wiring and less drain on your battery - which you probably
need for more important things like winching!

We have recessed
the bulb, lens and reflector 23mm inside the body of the light.
This has a two fold advantage over traditional lights. Firstly,
the bulb is very well protected from branches and other impacts.
Secondly, and more importantly, it concentrates the light
in to a brighter cone and greatly reduces the amount which
can shine on the bonnet and wings.
The
less of the light is shining on your bonnet, the better your
night vision - further enhancing the efficiency of the X-Lite.

| Options |
|
X-Lites are available in two beam widths and two sizes for
different thicknesses of roll cage tube.
|
Spot
Best
suited to high speed driving where you need the maximum long
distance vision such as driving on motorways or across moorland.
|
|
Flood
Best in driving through tree cover and negotiating obstacles
and narrow lanes where Deer, foxes and BMW's are likely to leap
out into your path. |
We make two different sizes of enclosure to ensure a snug fit
on most types of cage.
46mm
Will clamp to tube up to and including 46 mm (1 3/4") in
diameter
51mm
Will clamp to tube up to and including 51mm (2") in diameter
We reccommend you measure the thickness of your roll cage tube
before ordering. If you get it wrong, just send them back and
we will supply the other size for just the cost of the postage.

LOOK!
We now stock genuine Carling Switches (Like the ones used for
ARB lockers) with X-Lite labels!
 |
Carling
offer probably the best switches available for off-road
use. They are waterproof, use LED lighting and are damn
tough!
We now stock a range of switches for everything in your
vehicle including Fans and Winches plus a range of mounting
panels. See the full range here.
The X-Lite switch is of the SPST On/Off type and comes
complete with the label shown |
