| The
two photographs above were taken on the same camera with the
same settings. The one on the left with Main Beam only and the
one on the right with 4 x X-Lites (2 x Flood & 2 x Spot)
+ Main Beam. You can see how much whiter the light is with more
of the light output in the visible spectrum giving higher efficiency
and better colour rendering. |

|
| The
X-Lite Azimuth, so called because you can adjust the Azimuth
(direction) as well as elevation, is designed to mount on to
any flat surface and is attached via one 10mm hole. |
|
Unlike
most lights, the Stainless Steel mounting bolt is hollow.
The power wires can be passed through the bolt making them
hidden (and more importantly, fully protected) from the outside.
|
|
The
X-Lite Azimuth is so tough it can be mounted in places you
would not dream of fixing any ordinary light.
The
photo (Right) shows one fitted to the arm of a digger.
X-Lite
Azimuth make ideal 'Rock Lights' for illuminating the ground
under vehicles while rock-crawling. They can be mounted on
roofs, wings, bumpers, bonnets, 'A' Bars as well as traditional
lighting or roll bars with light mounting tabs.
X-Lites
are only 60mm diameter and yet deliver more intense light
in the visual spectrum than the majority of commercial driving
lights. The bulbs are only 50w and yet will outshine most
100w and even 150w halogen lights.
How is this possible? The light is high temperature with most
of it's energy in the middle to top of your visual range where
your eyes are most sensitive. Most lights are biased toward
the red end of the spectrum and waste a lot of the light energy
as heat and infrared.
More efficient, lower power lights mean less strain on your
wiring and less drain on your battery - which you probably
need for more important things like winching!

|
We have
recessed the bulb, lens and reflector 23mm inside the body
of the light. This has a two fold advantage over traditional
lights. Firstly, the bulb is very well protected from branches
and other impacts. Secondly, and more importantly, it concentrates
the light in to a brighter cone and greatly reduces the amount
which can shine on the bonnet and wings.
The
less of the light is shining on your bonnet, the better your
night vision - further enhancing the efficiency of the X-Lite.

| Options |
|
X-Lites are available in two beam widths.
|
Spot
Best
suited to high speed driving where you need the maximum long
distance vision such as driving on motorways or across moorland.
|
|
Flood
Best in driving through tree cover and negotiating obstacles
and narrow lanes where Deer, foxes and BMW's are likely to leap
out into your path. |

Switches |
 |
Carling
offer probably the best switches available for off-road
use. They are waterproof, use LED lighting and are damn
tough!
We now stock a range of switches for everything in your
vehicle including Fans and Winches plus a range of mounting
panels. See the full range here.
The X-Lite switch is of the SPST On/Off type and comes
complete with the label shown |
